My Hotel Wedding shared their beautiful wedding story,

Caroline and Travis’ oceanside wedding in North Carolina was absolutely stunning, but their love story is what has us swooning. The couple met in the exact location they held their wedding, Outer Banks, NC when they were just 13 years old and they told us all about it. “Our families each vacationed there the same week every year so we always kept in touch. We remained friends until we started dating 7 years later,” they said. And the city remained a special place when they got engaged there, too. “Both Caroline & Travis’ families were headed to the Outer Banks for their annual summer vacations. Caroline went but Travis had just started his masters program so he didn’t go with her. The first weekend of vacation, Travis showed up Saturday afternoon and proposed in the same spot where they first met.” It can’t get more romantic than that!

Luckily, that made deciding on a location for their wedding very easy, and their visions even lined up with one another. “We always knew we wanted a simple, classic wedding,” Caroline told us. “Nothing too casual, but nothing too formal. The location was a no brainer since the Outer Banks is such a special place for us. We chose the Sanderling because of it’s location and the fact that everything could be in one place. We could go easily from ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and after-party without having to travel. Not only that but we knew the food was amazing!” And just like that, their wedding came together and looked absolutely beautiful. Our favorite part?
